sp2 boy It's amazing, some Spanish pretend that they do not understand Portuguese when I try communicating with them. I know that some words are different but I am sure that my Portuguese is not that bad! Never had a problem in Northern Spain or the road from San Sebastion to Elvas via Salamanca, Villadoid or Badajoz, either! Mind you I was only buying food, fuel or getting a motel. Never had an issue in Portugal, though they laugh at my accent as they say that I sound like a Spaniard from the Basque region! 😄
