In yet another moment of acting without thinking I just signed up for the Nordic BOTT at my home circuit (Knutstorp) August 19-20.

This will be racing on a level far beyond my skills and the only realistic goal I can have is to be lapped only once...

The klubrace would have been fun since they from this year have a 2V- class and so far only two bikes started. First one is a Pirobon FO42 with 1000 ds engine. I usually have no problems to keep up with him with our "rain bike" (900 ssie).
The other was a Pantah who broke dute to clutch problems.
With only 2 races left (of 4) I could have endedup on the podium.😁

But I try to keep my fingers from it for some more time.

To be honest I will be so nervous that I will need help with about everything from finding my way there in the morning to go in the right direction on the track. One fear is if the conditions are neither wet or dry, then I need someone to tell me which wheels to use (and take responsibility for the result).

But, with shaved legs I think you will be fine with the umbrella

This Sunday I had a small off.
I was hit by a Simonchelli wannabee, but he apologized so I guess it's OK.

Some work to be able to start on Friday. Worst damage is one warped disc and a broken helmet, so if the weather is chjanging I have to be fast changing tyres. Helmet did not protect anything important...

Bad luck or totally without talent?

Today was practice and race one.

Practice Ended up in the gravel. I vas companied by three fellow riders who did the same in the same corner. Then I did not manage to finish the race due to crash damages. It was wet and I had a rear tyre from the waste bin. Bad idea! Or maybee better tires would just have brought me further out in the litter box?

I'd assume if three other guys, did the same trick, at the same place,I'd bet they got tires from the bin too. Sounds like a bad place to get tires from. Probably not a good place to get lunch from either.😁

Good luck, although its 3:15pm your time while I'm typing, so you may have already proven the might of your Italian stallion and your metal as a knight of the realm. Or binned it again. Either way I hope your having fun.

I'll be cutting up fallen trees with Excalibur the chainsaw in the rain and fighting off giant spiders and scorpions, (snakes are still asleep.). Do you want to swap? I know I'd rather be you.😁

Whether or not you snatch a defeat from the hands of victory. For facing adversity and stupidity head on, and not yielding to the temptation to pack it in. I vote that a Prancing Horse be awarded for having given it a shot. Kudos to you.

Today was good!

It went very well.

It was dry and I was on a back tire from the shop and a front which I bought second hand, but in really good shape. No more racing on tires from the bin😱

Due to yesterdays disaster I had to start from the last grid, but ended up as #14 out of 22. The pace felt really slow, I found out that I am far to polite to pass quickly enough. Instead I get stuck for several laps behind slow traffic. I was stuck behind a 1098R for half the race with no possibility to pass on the straight (time for some tuning?). When I finally passed him on the last lap it was to late to catch the rest.

It felt so slow that I was really surprised to see that I had made my personal best during the race.

I'm really pleased, it was great fun!

Well done...I guess racing is all about getting to the front and not going out for a blast!

Use your elbows and knees, whatever it takes to pass and not let others through. Xaus was always a mass of knees and elbows...he looked like an octopaus all over his Ducati, he did also come off quite a bit, perhaps he had the same tyre supplier!

He was always exciting to watch! 😁

This Friday - Saturday it is time to go up against the Panigales and RC8R's

I decided to go on fresh rubber this time but the supplier is out of 180 sections which are becoming scarse, don't really know how to solve this. I have a few where the cord still is not visible, so cancelling is not an option.

Go Hard. Interesting to see this years results. Don't worry about the poofters on the Penagales, more money than talent probably. Just nail them in the corners while they are being shit scared about keeping the power under control.
