griff851 Just though I'd build a new spot to park the bike. I seem to be doing a lot of shovel work of late. I had to back fill a 70m trench last week end. I end up moving 12 cubic meters of decomposed granite with a spade. Half of it in the pic Feeling fitter strangely enough. Griff
sp2 boy Griff, the foundations of your new garage are looking great, you'll need some more machines to keep the 851/888 company in that space...enjoy filling it up when the time comes! 😉
griff851 I wish. Unfortunately the slab is for the people bit as well. Later when the gods deem me fit to have a shed, then the bikes will have their own place. Griff PS please note this is a typical winter day in the pics. 9°- 23°C Tortuous weather. 😁 😁
griff851 Thanks. Not that big, 322sqm which includes the double garage. It does have nice views, but it comes with native wildlife, the good and the bad. The birds are amazing. Hawks, Eagles, Pheasants, Kookaburras, Black Cockatoo's Rosella's, Owls, the whole show really. Griff
Phil911 Not that big, 322sqm which includes the double garage. ---> Don't hesitate to sacrify the living room floor space to take advantage of the double garage !!! In the future, Madam will thank you !!! Housework is sometimes so so long in such a big house ... 😁 It does have nice views, but it comes with native wildlife, the good and the bad. The birds are amazing. Hawks, Eagles, Pheasants, Kookaburras, Black Cockatoo's Rosella's, Owls, the whole show really. ---> A permanent open zoo !!! ... Any danger regarding forest fires all around this location ??? Anyway, congratulations !!! Your bike looks like a toy ... 😁 Phil911
griff851 Thanks Phil, yes it has to have 6mm toughened glass and no gap bigger than 2-3mm anywhere, all external doors are air tight and windows with opening have to have stainless steel fly-screens fitted, as part of bush fire protection standards. I'm also putting on a roof sprinkler system than will generate a very localized tropical down poor.😁 650 liter a minute pump will take care of that. Pete. At least there are no sharks, colored octopus and jelly fish! I think I've got the snakes covered as I have a Burmese cat. Them and Siamese use to keep snakes out of the temples I herd once. Just hope he's not a dud! Its time to earn his keep.😁 Spiders are covered see above! Griff
sp2 boy Here I am doing my public duty to help out Australia...into the pot for diner later! Thank my parents, it's my Portuguese heritage, I cannot help myself these things are to be eaten. 😁
