Foggy 888 Nux and pgray are both right. I brought my bike to the AMA Superbike races at Sears Point in 2001. Since Pascal Picotte had ridden this bike to his only two AMA Superbike wins in 1994 (Laguna Seca and Road America), and had his best season (4th in the championship), I thought he might want to look at it. He was riding for Harley-Davidson on the VR1000 at the time and was having a miserable season (see photo for him wearing his team shirt). I parked the bike to the side of the Harley team pits and waited outside while he was talking with his wife. When he was done, I mentioned that I had an old bike of his, and asked if he wanted to see it. He gave me a skeptical look, but said ok. When he saw his old bike, his eyes nearly popped out of his head. I had turned around to pull out an old Fast by Ferracci poster for him to sign. When I looked back, he was on the bike and was grinning ear to ear. I quickly pulled out my camera and shot this photo, don't think that the Harley folks would be too happy if they saw him on a Ducati. He said that the bike felt exactly as it had when he was racing it, down to the worn through handgrips (original Ducati foam with the red fabric inside). As I wheeled the bike away, I could see that he had brought his wife around the side of the pit and he was talking to her, while pointing at the bike and still smiling. I guess he was remembering the great times that he had riding it.
