griff851 wroteJust to add to Steves comment. The reversion valves spring pressure acts with the fuel pressure regulator to to give the correct fuel pressure. You can up the fuel pressure by changing the reversion valves spring tension.
But it's a lot easier to just wind in or out the allen scew on the adjustable fuel pressure regulator, (fitted to most 851/888's) if you temporarely fit a pressure gauge into the fuel line you can see what pressure you're dialling in.
This's what I did when I set up my fuel pressure for the 996PS cams and single injectors, I made up a 'T' piece of fuel line to clip into the QD line connectors with the other end of the 'T' connected to a pressure gauge.
