Steve could you please post a couple of pics of the blowbag. I'm thinking the S2 is due a make over. I'm liking the NCR Hailwood look. Of coarse trying to find one is going to be rather tricky. If anyone knows the where about's of one, that would make life wonderful. I think with an SS fairing. That photoshop mock up I did the other day has got me going.

Yes I'm on to them. They are cheaper than Mdina Italia as well, and seem to carry everything in stock. I would suspect they are Mdina Italia's supplier.

When Mdina was owned by John Fallon (Who nows owns Made in Italy) Old Racing Spares was one of his suppliers, but they had a falling out over the poor quality of some of the kit, Andrew Jones who now owns Mdina may well be dealing with Mario again.

I've known John Fallon for over 30 years, he would always undercut Mario's prices for me by quite a lot, there's a HUGE mark up on some of that kit.

Yes I did. It constantly amazes me the new stock for old machines that keeps popping up. Personally I've never been a fan of the Hailwood full fairing, its the way it curves forward I think. Thanks for bringing up though, I appreciate it.
I'm going for the NCR 1978 hailwood seat/tank unit, and I'll match it up with an SS fairing, that way you get to see the engine.
Small steps, i have all the two piece discs now. Next the fork cartridges and then the order goes into Italy for the seat/tank and fairing. Then I'll strip the down to the frame and take to it with an angle grinder, and bend up a new rear sub frame. I've all ready got the 2 into one headers( I'll be using the "don't get caught method of road worthiness, combined with the "yes they came into the country like this officer" approach. It shouldn't be that hard as the bike hasn't been registered since 1985, and its done a few trips over the years. I figure I'm way in front when I get caught and fined😁), and the gray finned gas period Marzzochi's sorted, which just need a quick dampening mod done. Should be ready for the paint shop by Christmas.

What did you use for a slave cylinder? I'm looking at just welding in a tube and machining up a piston with a bearing. Or mounting a modern late model one either on a spider or internal in the cover.

Me too...thankfully. A lot of it seems to be in Australia. I just watched Ian sell off a n.o.s. TT frame on eBay! How did you guys end up with so much good stuff?

In 1979 for example. Australia took 60% of Ducati production. That has a lot to do with it.

And Ian was right in the middle of it all. He has a shed full of shit. He sent a huge number of 888 cranks to the scrap yard one year, because he always brought in bulk from the factory, and they were taking up space. He probably has another 3 or 4 TT frames. Who knows?

I know the US got very little over those years - too many zombies. I'm curious about why you are converting to a hydraulic clutch. Sounds like a lot of work. All I can think of is lever pull. That is an issue for my old left arm, which wants to cramp up. I can get along by not using it after 2nd gear. It shifts pretty good that way, and adds kind of a fun challenge for me to get it right. Maybe it's a fun challenge for you to convert it over.

Well spotted that man! Lot's of Bevel owners have copied my mod' over the years.
I converted it back in '83* I used the last Mag' race AP Lockheed clutch M/cylinder that they had on the shelf, Honda VF750 slave, made a flat plate to mount the slave on and had to make a slightly longer 'bullet' for the push rod assembley, it's one of the lightest clutches I've ever used and it works perfectly.

*Before that I was using an extra long cable opperated lever that I made by welding two normal levers together, mounting the pivot point inboard of the forks on the end of the clipon, which I'd extended using an alloy Tommiselli barend, this was what the NCR Endurance race bikes used...
It also worked very well, I've still got it tucked away somewhere.

The fairing on E-Bay is for a 'Mille' the last of the line that had a completely diffent line at the front/under the front pot than the earlier MHR's.
The 'Pukka' NCR fairings that these ape were a lot finer/sharper at this point, they almost reached the front wheel.
I personally like the fairing that was used on Hailwoods '78 TT winner, (and Tony Rutter's 1st TTF2 winner) I've got a used original one that I've taken some moulds from.

I got in some shed time today and took off the sprocket cover. Buckets of room on the old square case to fit a late model slave cylinder, which I have one or 2 of. Just have to machine up 2 posts and file the lever pivot casting and the lower bolt lug on the slave cylinder a bit. One of the posts will have to have a slot in it for the web. drill and tap 3 holes and with a bit of devcon job done. even buckets of room for the standard bleed nipple.
I had a look at the MMS one you can by, and thought I be better off spending the money on some thing more important, like food.

I'm just wondering now whether a brembo radial master cylinder with a remote reservoir is going to look out of place😁 Probably!

No mines a one piece casting and has an alloy cap, the one in your pic' is a later version.
They were always quite rare lockheed made them for race/drag race bikes and were a mirror image of the original single disc front brake M/cylinder.
