Hello peeps,
This got me thinking, where's that book i have filed away,ah! here we are,
for you book worms i have in my collection a first edition by Alan Cathcart the auther of a limited run of Ducati Motorcycles which is signed on page 187 by Mr Paul Smart himself,😄 on the picture of him racing in 1972 at silverstone on a bike number 9 and number 8 on his leathers. His team mate then was Bruno Spaggiari .
The book dates from 1983 and features hundreds of fantastic photos following the complete history of Ducati up to that date. It cost £80.00!
If anyone's interested, i'll get some pictures and put them up.

Ultimate Book from French seller

Just a word or warning,

I purchased one on 4th Aug with paypal.
Heard nothing from the seller after sending a number of messages
Reported it to paypal a few days ago
Escalated it to a claim saying that I was so pisst off that I wanted a refund
Refund arrived in full today
Not a word from the seller yet
Can he really have had 4 copies of this book I wonder?

How much were you willing to pay?
I've got one kicking around in good condition that I might let go, it would meen braking up my collection though.
Having said that if I had a £ for every book title that starts with Ducati in my 'Bikes Only BIG bookcase' I'd be quite well off...
There's well over 30 years worth of Ducati books/magazine clippings/Factory sales brouchers etc in folders in there now, with a HUGE pile waiting to be condensed down.
I thought about attacking it today, (The weathers been shit) but the pile's bigger than me and I'm 6ft tall.
The last time I spent the time to sort the mags out was when our little 'Lolly' Lowenna was born and that was almost 6 years ago now.
I've probably got a bigger library then the factory museum, I know that I've got some stuff that they haven't got.

Original sales brouchers for the early 60's singles anyone?
I've even given them away to lads that I'd rebuilt their bikes for...

Tis true it was a lot of money

But I have seen a couple of pictures and had a birthday prezzie in credit so thought I will have it then.
I was banking on a like new book it all fell apart

Perhaps it was for the best, just waiting to make sure the paypal goes back into my account before posting a negative on the seller.

i think he had 4 off them,i recived mine yesterday and payed it on sunday.
it was the last one off the 4 he had listed on ebay.
so that is pretty fast.

I've taken a few snapshots of the book, so you can get an idea af what it looks like. It contains appr. 80 photo's (all black and white) printed on photographic paper. The photographer followed Raymond Roche and recorded his life as a rider, but there are also some photo's of Falappa. Rancinan puts his comments of what the photo means to him next to the image.
