888 Tricolor

Hey everyone,
Could anyone help?
I am looking at a 851 tricolor for a mate who wants an investment. Not quite sure on his state of mind?
I have had an SP3 and a SP4 so he called me.
I dont know much at all about tricolor's, except that there is a distinct different between the standard and Kit versions.
Can some one list out the difference between the two, and what particular pitfalls may be encountered with this model.
Btw: It is in Australia, value? Ithought the $18-20k mark..
Any help would be appreciated.

Mate,

Check this out, some good points from my mate Warren, one of the Kits in the pictures & article is in my garage.

For me its SEX on wheels as they were an engineering marvel, to blast down a lonely country road its pure heaven, there are about 17 units with various collectors and owners in Aust.

I know of only 6 bikes personally and one is NEW & never started sitting in a glass cabinet on display 😁

Warren’s article will assist mate as there are some points that differentiate from the standard strada as you will see.

What value range would both the kit & Strada command these days do you think?

A good strada any where from 8K to 15K +-

Kit bike original 35K ++ / some 38K ++

The Strada price you refer to, is a Tricolor strada? or a Standard 851 Strada?
