ListA Hi, can anyone help me with the biggest wiring puzzle on my 851 rebuild, the original workshop manual is rather vague to say the least, I've got the rear end wiring in place( the easy bit) but its starts getting really tricky towards the frontend, stuck at the moment at the engine, I've got the coils and the leads sorted and connected correctly to the loom I.E vertical and horizontal, I'm stuck with webber electrics pot 1 and 2?, I'm and all the other various plugs and leads help, I wish I had taken some colour photos before I dismantled it all !!! ducatibruce Try some of the workshop manuals listed in http://www.ducati851and888.com/showthread.php?t=1411 . Most have a wiring harness layout section showing major connectors.
griff851 The injectors are pretty easy to work out. get a multimeter and do a continuity check to the computer plug. The injectors come off the end of the plug with the hook bit. As for the pickups. Same deal use the wiring diagram. The computer plug has combs on it, that act as a guide for the slide outer cover. Remove them to get easy pin access.Item 12 on the comp pin diagram. If you find a place where you can peel back the wire covering on one of injector leads it all becomes crystal clear real quick. The browns goes to the RH fused relay. Griff
