Hello from Holland,

Hi my name is Nick and I’m new here so let me introduce myself.

30 years old, living in de east of Holland near Arnhem.

Always loved Ducati, and especially the 851’s and 888’s.

Now the proud owner of a Duc 888 SP5 number 414.
Bought at Startwin motors last month.

First owner bike with 28000 km’s from new. ( Also my first bike)

Great forum with lots of info!

Very nice bike you've got there. 😎
I've been to Arnhem a few times whilst over for the Assen TT and once with my late Father RIP who was a veteren of Operation Market Garden, he was a 'Guards Independent' pathfinder with the British Airborn/Parachute Regiment.
I still have the Jumping smock that he wore when he parachuted in close to Arnhem to secure the landing zones for the gliders, when the battle was lost he escaped capture by swimming across the Rhine, he was one of the lucky ones...
I was really moved by the welcome that the local folk gave him on his pilgramage to visit his fallen comrades graves, on the anniversary of the battle.
His money wasn't any good in the bars as the local folk insisted on paying for his beer.

Hi steve,

People in and near Arnhem have a special feeling with people how we there during the war. Yes indeed your father was one of lucky ones, terrible time for a lot of people!

I bought her without the mirrors😳 , i have just bought two new ones, also two front indicators and i need and original airbox because mine is not original or a carbon airbox.

So next week she wil have the mirrors😉
