You sound tainted Brad.😁 There are twisted people out there that like them....and 500 parallel twins. And having extra holes drilled in their heads to let the voices out.

You jammy B'stard, as Brad has alluded they're not everybodys idea of a perfect bike, but I wouldn't say no to a pair of them for free.
My old mate 'Uncle Cornish' John Sandercock RIP owned two of them alongside his 916SP and 900SS 'Bandy', he said/thought that they had a charm all of their own.
John rebuilt one of them from the floor upwards, buying the 2nd one as a spare parts donar, but then thought it too good to break so rebuilt that one as well.
After his untimely death (he had a heart attack whilst riding his 916SP and plowed into a bridge parapet, he was only 45 years old) his bikes were sold on via the local Dorset branch organiser of the DOCGB, the new owners of the Paso's are very happy with their new bikes.

Sorry Guy, the red one has sort of grown on me, the yellow one too actually.
The red one fired right up, the yellow is taking a nap. Dead battery and I think the fuel pump is toast.
They are really in nice stock condition, the tires are even good (hard to find a rear now days!) the yellow is a re-paint. They were in Sun Valley ID. so I guess there wasn't enough oxygen at that altitude for them to rot! 😁 My friend who gave them to me went to the Factory to pick them up in 87', says he no longer has any need for them.
Belts, fluids, hoses, etc. when I get time.

Dont knock Paso's.. they're what got be to buy an 888!
Had a Paso when they were new and went 2 up from south UK to North Scotland and back. Was quite nice to ride but I found the 16" wheels a bit strange in corners.

Build quality was dubious; chrome rear grabrail pitted terribly (replaced by later black one that didnt), the black chrome exhausts rusted at the sight of a light mist as did the discs. The 2-1 Conti exhaust that I replaced the rusted exhausts with sounded great, but the alloy rivets corroded against the steel end pieces and became rattly. And the Weber carb iced up in traffic on cold days! Otherwise, I really liked it!

However, on teh trip to Scotland I was in convoy there and back with a 900SS of same era, and an 851. I bought that 900SS shortly afterwards, but always longed for the 851... so eventually ended up with an 888. Happy days then and now.

A bit late in the day I know (like nearly 8 years lol) but I got given an in bits Paso 750 for free as well.
