need a tail light!! Help! 851 KIT

My local Ducati dealer is a joke. I paid him, 13 weeks later he says can't get one. Anyway, does the taillight (lense) retro fit any other 851's. It is all I need to finish my bike restoration.😳

The Tricolore Kit has a different rear light to the later 851/888's.
I feel a bit guilty here as I cut the wings off a new Tricolore rear light last year to make it fit my '92 851.
I got it from ebay Germany possibly from Sabine at ceepeedee.

I know that, but I think Flo is able to source the Tricolore type as well, were they common to another model? Cagiva or something?

Come to think about it I may have been thinking about the Cagiva 125 Freccia lens which is different again.....😱

It may still be worthwhile contacting Flo - worth a shot anyway. 😄

yeah i bought one of them aswell , were they slightly darker aswell ?

Yeah that's the one* Phil.
In our defence at the time before Desmoflo had a batch made for our machines it was the only way of getting a new rear light.
They were pretty cheap as well costing about 30% less than the new run that Flo' had made.

*I found that the Tricolore unit was a bit wider than the later OEM unit, it rubbed the sides of the cut out on my QB Carbon tail unit, whereas the original lens had a few mm clearance on both sides of the cut out.
