Hello from France

Hi everybody,

I just found this forum. Fisrt, I' m sorry for my English...🙁 .

My name is John, I'm 28, and I live in south of France. I really love Italian bikes, and I have a '94 888 Strada number of frame 2709.

Before, I owned a '99 900 Mostro.

How can I insert a photo? I' d like to show you my Ducati.

I wonder how many 888 were made during years of production...

My dream is a '94 Ducati 916 monoposto, but I would not sell my 888!

I have also a '80 Bimota 1000 KB1.

My other passion is BMW (cars, not bikes), the youngtimers, more exactly. Those old BMW are like the Ducati, they have a soul😄 .

henk wrotehallo, Maybe this has been asked before but does some one know how many 888 strada's there where made? i have a book from Luc Freson with in the back the production numbers and according to that book there are only 3741 ducati 888 made and that should even include the SP series.That looks really not a lot to me surely if i

Stokely, the 888 is a winderful bike, and I will never sell it. But, for me, the 916 is the most beautiful bike ever mede, and one day I' ll buy one.

Here' s a photo:

Made in July 1994. I bought her in November 2007, with 48500 kms (how many miles?...) on the clock. Now, she has 57600 kms.

She' s just equipped with two Sil Motor, that' s all. Later, I will buy the higher screen like Polen/Roche, and remove the two mirrors.

Nice looking T8 you've got there, I'm with you as I've got a Polen/Roche taller screen waiting to fit and have looong since removed the mirrors although I've done a few more mod's over the last 11 years.

John is a very interesting name for someone in France, what's the story behind that?
Are you an Englishman living in France?
Some on here would have you believe that I live in France, but then they're from Yorkshire. 😏

I've still got a stash of flats and sharps lads.

Having said that last weekend I was at the DOCGB AGM/Severn Vally Rally and a club member asked me which was the best 916 to buy IMO.
I replied "Get an early '94 Strada"...

I would really like to remove the mirrors. I' m just afraid for the policemen... 😡

I am French. I was born in the South of France, and I still live there! The reason of that name comes from my father; He wanted a short name, and uncommon in France.

My origins are from Spain and Italy. As you can see, I just have an English name. The rest is latin 😁, like my bikes!
