AS i still have no regulator, today was ride day and I took out a 696 for a 6hr thrash through the Gold coast hinterland. Great scenery. Para gliders lovely and green, beautiful day, and a 696 monster. My god those things are wicked through the tight twisties as you scale up and down the hills. Not enough grunt to catch the boys on the S2R100 and hypermotard 1100 going up hill, but more than enough going down. The suspension was bumpy as hell but the stability made up for it. Nasty fuzz hands if your hanging around 6Krpm and getting into a wide eyed and white knuckle state of mind. After having to drag the 851 kicking and screaming into the same corners a few months ago, it was a real pleasure just to eat them up.
Only came across one casualty from another group. What looked like a really nice 996SPS substantially manged up from the rear end, as he's parted company with the tarmac and found the mountain rock with it.
Then after the ride came home fitted the heads to the green frame and fired it up. First kick, strong and powerful pulses. Brilliant! Then Dr Who, then bike races. Great day all round.

Daleks mate, the new Dr had to deal with them yet again. No matter how hard he try's the blighters keep coming back. Worse than pox they are.😁 My wife sits there and tells me how crap it is, the kids hate it yet get scared. I just sit there wishing I could hear what's going on over all the background commotion.
