Witch fuel cap will fit my carbon fuel tank?

Just bought a carbon fuel tank for my 851 (spare part number 586 301 151A) without the fuel cap, does anyone know where i can find one or could help me with a picture???

you must use the original cap from the 851 my 1988,1989 sp and 1992 sps model with carbon tank.

the cap is the same of the racing 998-996 and 916.

on ebay there is one.

You will need the cap in the second auction from above.
The early 851s with alloy tanks (and the CF Corse tanks) have a slightly different bolt pattern circle. You can see this if you look at the caps in both auctions.

But i do not see the difference between the two, can you explain please ?

For information, the seller of the second cap send it 44 in an previous auction 😉

The bolt circle is diffrent, as you can se is the holes placed more at the edge compared to the other cap. Now i know that the cap from the paso 907ie will fit my cb-tank.

i don't know if there are difference between the standard cap and the race cap..

form a old catalog of giocamoto the race and the original cap has got the same parts number.

this is the draw of the plates who mount on the tank...
it's a original 851 and 888 parts...take from my friend's bike..
check your tank and you are sure for the cap!

the dimension are in millimeters

Also check the 906 Paso and 750 Sport caps, from memory these are the same or similar. I also have one of the CF Corse tanks, it is fitted with and early model 851 cap.

There's a company in the U.K. that makes the carbon filler caps and surrounds, as fitted to the Corsa 888 carbon tanks. I think they're the right ones for what you need.

Yes, only if the length between two holes is 109mm.

Because i have found one, i thought it was the good one, but the length between two holes is 101mm 🙁 (it seems it comes from a cagiva elephant)
