marvin wroteI agree! Same thing happened at Roebling Rd/Savannah Ga. The track has been there for years, all the houses around it are nearly new modular houses so you know they weren't there 10 years ago but they can't start any engines until after 8Am, have to shut down at 5 or so.!! WTF!!
We have the same problem over here Marvin.
Back to Griff's post...
A very good friend of mine moved into a beautiful period end of terrace cottage, next to the very old church where the Champion Bell Ringers of the SW of England 'Ring' the bells.
... and he hasn't stopped moaning about the 'Racket' on a Tuesday evening when they practice!
The really funny thing is that my mate Nick actually drinks with the Bell Ringers in the local pub and he runs some of the 'LOUDEST' Norton's in the SW.
We also buried his wife in the graveyard of the church less than 200ft from his cottage and on Nick's request had a very large turnout of LOUD bikes making as much noise as possible at the funeral, because Mo' (his wife) loved bikes.
The church was full to bursting with bikers all in their leathers, the creeking/squeeking sound as we all stood up/sat down between hymns was almost hilarious...
It could have been a 'Python' sketch. 😁 Mo' would have loved it.
She died just short of her 50th Birthday from a brain tumor after a long illness.
Afterwards we held a Wake for Mo' in the pub that stands only 13 paces from Nick's front door, we sent poor Mo' off in style.
The Bell Ringers Rang at the funeral and were at the wake*.
I'll never forget the date of Mo's funeral as it was on the same day as the 9/11 twin towers tragedy.
*Nick still moans about the noise though, then says "I'm to drunk to walk home, I'll have to ride my bike"...😏
