I managed to pick up a later, 91 I think alloy subframe and would like to compare with an earlier unit if anybody has a picture?

Looks like mine is the same but perhaps 1990.

Its been heavily modified for a later bike with very high level silencers.

As far as I can tell
Silencer mounting have been cut off and changed
Rear seat unit location/fixings have been cut off
Top section for mounting later seat has been added on

I will have to cut off rear plate for mounting the back light as this is not needed on mine, light mounts inside the seat

Not too bad though as most parts are hidden and should be there with a little work 😏

Race/Kit alloy subframe from 1988/89 is very different, you can see a picture in the manual for race Tricolore that I put up here on the site in files.

The frame and Ohlins shock can wait until the dark of winter. I want to look at the location of the water expansion tank and the oil breather tank, these make access to the suspension/ride height adjustment horrid and fine tuning will take hours!

Anybody got ideas on relocating this lot?

don't use the original oil breather tank....

use a redbull 😁 😁 😁

...and for the water tank....
behind the water cooler....near the yuasa battery.....short hose and big space in the tail frame!
