But will a 6" + tyre really fit our swinging arms and clear the chain I wonder?

I'm as poor as a church mouse, but £250 for a top bollox Mag' Marvic (if it was a good one??) sounds pretty cheap to me.
The recent small production run of 'Classic' 3 spoke Mag' Marvic's to suit the 851/888's cost well over £2,000 a pair here in the UK.
Someone on this forum (In Europe) was recently asking for around £800 for a new/unused pair of 5 spoke alloy ST/Monster (Brembo) Marchesini's, if they'd been closer to £500 I'd have broken his arm off to get them.

i bought new Marvic 3 spoke's casted magnesium wheels last month, they are back in production and they paint them on demand in the colour that you want.. i have mine in gold and payed 1450 for the pair

Only problem is that the paintjob was very bad, the wheels were full of dust and the paint didn't attached to the wheels. i could easely remove the paint with my fingernail :S

I showed them to the local carpainter he and he told me that they didn't use a primer or if they used a transparent primer it wasn't polished before they put the paint on so that's why it comes off that easely. In the center/spoke's of the wheel it looked like the paint attached better, he used a knife to scratch of some paint aarg 😯 but he told me they have to paint the again so not panic :S haha but on the ouside it fell off just by looking at them.

The shop were i bought them contacted Marvic and they asked me to send them back so they can paint them again..

They should be arrived at Marvic now so i hope to have them back in 2 weeks. i must say, the wheels looked great on my '94 888 😎
