At last the paintwork is back in the right colours and the spag system back from the welders tucked around the deep sump.
No time this week as I am off to the GP with my lad for a boys weekend on Thursday but hopefully all done next week and ready for her first track day soon.
Looking good
Excited now

What a cracker...very nice, are the fairings genuine Corsa, Fast by Ferraci carbon jobs or fibreglass copies from Germany? 😄
AJV
Having taken the risk to ship that bike halfway round the world you must be very pleased with your result. She looks great with all those trick parts a real credit to your vision. Bet you can't wait to ride her.
Once that engine is set-up, you may have the most powerful road 851/888 in the UK. I say UK because I was admiring the same engine/exhaust installation fitted to a 93 onwards model in the bike park at Assen MOTOGP round last month.

Looking good there Guy, but what is the item underneath the engine with three stubs pointing up in picture 3299?

Corse getting ready
Many thanks for the comments boyz,
Quick responses:

I must have been living under a rock. Guy when did all this happen? That thing is sweet. Is there another thread leading up to this?

She Lives at last
Just got the call from Tony to say that he had made the time to do the finishing off and fire her up for the first time this morning.
And the news is she sounds very sweet and everything is working as it should😄
Always a bit of a risk putting a pile of secondhand parts together to make a whole bike that something would would not work.
She will have a bit of running in on the dyno and I am hoping for a morning off late next week so I can collect her.
I will join in the weight and BHP discussions soon, I am expecting close to 160kgs. As for HP I do not really know yet. Motor is basically SP3 spec with balanced crank, slightly higher compression & squish, G cams, polished ports, SP4 injectors on P8 with JHP tailored chip and a 50mm spag into open termis.
What should I expect I wonder?
More news and pictures in a week

Hi Guy,
Get a power run on the dyno and then sling it on a weighbridge...
It'll give the rest of us (Who build/play with and ride these bikes 😉) something to aim at/compare with.

888 on the scales
Steve we have some load cells at work I will see if I can hang her on a cell of the fork lift. I will go with the "ready to ride" weight with all fluids and some fuel.

Sounds like a great plan. Glad to hear it's a goer, I wait for the ride report with great anticipation as mine is dead in the water for a bit longer. Can you list its state of being for quick reference please.

LUCKY
Nice to see its all come together Guy.I'm more than happy with what you've done to my old baby.
HP.......hmmm,hard to estimate, Dynos being the "compairative" measuring devices that they are.
I'd be happy with 110ish.
Ciao
Tric
I had a peek at your bike on the bench at Tonys as I usually do, when I dropped off the 1098 Tric for fettling of the 70mm pipes I`ve had made by Leon for Tony. ( more mid range, sounds awesome and the finish is superb)
Your bike was looking good and I think I may have more photos of your bike than you have. Been following the rebuild with interest.
Now back in Espana after a brilliant w/end in Cartmel thrashing Rosies 851 around the lakes on the northen rally. ( funnily enough it it rides just like mine apart from the stop/start throttle) Hope to see you out and about when I am over for the Classic show at Stafford in Oct.

Very nice!! I plan on venting my clutch housing over the winter and adding a oil cooler as well.

To be honest Guy, I think that bike would look better in my garage 😝 !!
Nice...
