Mr R, how can I tell if it is a Corse arm? Very interesting.
Hi,
911Phil has posted on here in the past the lengths of his Corse swinging arms, he's got two Corse bikes and both have different length arms to the road bikes.
I'd be stunned if he couldn't lay his hands on the info that you seek, I'd pop him a PM if I were you.
IIRC the later the Corse model the longer the arms got, as the factory tried to shift the weight bias forward, they went up by 20-30mm I think but my memory's hazy to say the least.
My comment about the chain guide that you posted, was because I used to have a picture of an immaculate Corse 888 in JHP's showroom as my screen saver and one of the differences was the fixing of that part.
The late 851/888 and the alloy 900 Monster arms have only two fixing points, whereas the one in the pic' that you posted has three, just like the one on the Corse bike on my old screen saver.
