Somebody out there must have some information on the manual head stamps that the factory marked close to the spark plug hole? Not the standard marks indicating year of manufacture etc that are cast but some hand stamped marks on final assembly depending on tune.
A + a 1/2/3 perhaps for cam grind
and
C + 1/2/3 for dead skim, rework for 888 kit, or valve changes

For any information relating to the additional manual stamp close to the plug holes on the heads of early 851's
Go on take the time to pull the front spark plug cap, hardly even get your knees dirty for this and put some info up for us to share.
Cams, valves, head skim/chamfer state might all be waiting there
