Mr.R Hi Guy, Would that be Welsh as in Wales? If so i'm a member of the DOC GB who hold a club rally/soicial get together in Wales in May. It's called the Merlin Rally, i've been to 6 of the 7 held and own 2 851's, but not Tricolre's, i've only ever seen one Tricolore in Wales at this event and I know it wasn't yours, unless your names Mark? Where are you hiding? Wales isn't that big. This year my 851/916 special won the award for best modern Ducati (as in watercooled,fuel injected bike), it would have been great to have seen one of the Grandaddies there, it probably would have won Best Bike. The guy who did the judgeing flew in from Washington USA and is a big 851/888 freak, I know he owns a Tricolore and an 888SP5, along with a good few older Ducati's. If you're based in Wales U.K. then come on in the waters lovely! Check out the DOC GB website for the dates next year. This year the DOC GB Northern Rally is being held at Cartmell in the Lake District on the weekend of the 17th,18th and 19th of August.... I think an 851/888 may win 'Best Bike'. There's a good chance as i'm the judge. Steve
guy851 851's in Wales Taken time to get back, life is running and the bin lids are all over the place for the schools holidays! No it was not my Tricolore as I am a recent red white and green owner, just over a year now. Lots of work and lots of fun and she really is a joy to ride and croon over in the garage.. I have just picked up with DOCGB and there will be a note going out to see how many takers we can get for a gathering here in Machynlleth, yes Wales on the 1st & 2nd Sept Special spot for 851's and 888's Keep in touch Be Seen - Red White and Green
