rear brake arm mount needed

Anyone have a spare rear brake arm engine mount they would part with? I bought the assy a while back, but the moron parting the bike wouldn't pull the mount off the engine... said I would have to buy the engine. Anywho, I made my own piece with 3mm thick steel. Well, that one failed. It bent inward. Maybe someone could take measurements and dimensions of theirs so I can make another from thicker material.

+1 on the 6061. 3/8" plate will do. BTW if you don't already know it you can cut it very easily on a band saw with a wood blade. I use a standard 3 or 4 tooth wood blade at wood cutting speed. And no, it doesn't dull the blade! Cutting hickory for the BBQ dulls it more quickly.

Believe it or not I actually bought a large band saw last year just to cut that plate. Yeah.. instead of coughing up the money for oem piece I thought it wiser to spend $500 usd 😯 . Hey, it's a tool....you know what I mean? Anyways, now I get to use the bandsaw 2 times in my lifetime!!! ha HA! Wait a minute. Where is that smiley with the maniacal looking face?

p.s. It helps to use some sort of lube on the blade so's the alum. doesn't stick to it. I use EdgeLube or Stick-Cut but any waxxy lube will work, like beeswax, or even parrafin.

I've seen a set, not very nice looking. Do you need new calipers? I know where there are some new 40's. About AUS$600 a pair. Could be a bit more.

I don't know of any homemade ones.. but I found some on this site and this site.

Seems easy enough to make if you have a milling machine, which I don't and can only play w/ flat metal.
