Not far off firing up now😄
The little detail is a nightmare and takes an age. Getting the later carbon tail onto the SP3 subframe together with:
Carbon undertray/catch tank
ECU + ignition modules - still no relays arrived grrrrrr🙁
Along with some breather pipes and the ohlins remote just finished late last night taking hours longer than I thought. And...once I sort a nice SP3 corse tail section I will start all over again.
As you can see I am using ALL of the SP4 road loom so i can light up the endurance pods and some indicators another day. Bit of a squeeze but it's in at last. Made up a mock subframe lower to carry the loom from the frame to the conveyor. No subframe mounting lugs on the race chassis anyway.
Went back to the carbon dash for now but I prefer the alloy one and it has better cutaways for the levers/lines. Radials would clear better but the empty piggy bank says just get on and go for a ride with what you have got for now. The Laverda clock is fine until the right one turns up and cannot complain at £20 and the red bit glows from 9-11K which seems just right.
Black Marvics from Jasper set off the white chassis a treat me thinks😎
Oh - Spike I popped on a carbon belt cover and although tight the tank just clears it. The standard cover would need a little "shave" or it may well rub a hole in your tank.
Oh and stupid me fiddled the oil breather pipes in place......and only just realised I will have to re-route as it fouls the electrical connector at the back of the carbon tank bummer.
Next tasks: fill the fuel tank with all its bits and get the QD connectors fitted + a shiny new filter should keep me busy on the living room floor tonight.
I am still looking for a corse alloy battery tray as the one fitted looks horrid. Made a new alloy plate and popped the regulator/solenoid underneath but I do want to run a decent battery.
Fit a set of starter gears and sprag clutch and starter motor so I don't have to bump start
Fit the slipper clutch
Get the 50mm spag system cut and kinked so it passes the deep sump
Get the left panel painted and the scuff blown over on the tail
Hmmmm still quite a big list
