Yes, on the bike too !! It’s funny how much you can see if you slow down. On some of these roads I wouldn’t have been going quite so fast if I had seen how deep the dropoff is !

But then again, if you slow down you’re not so engaged and will probably crash !

Riding here in the Appalachian Mountains is going to suck for at least a year because of the hurricane that trashed this area. There are still a lot of closed roads and bad repairs. The main roads are pretty much open but lots of traffic, gravel trucks, repair crews and just stupid tourists. The main roads are really boring to ride and that’s where all the cops are. The backroads are in bad condition lots of cleanup crews and nails on the roadway (due to hauling off debris). The repair that has been done has been done very poorly due to time concerns and cold weather and will have to be redone when time allows. You can be flying around a blind corner only to find a repair that is basically a huge speed bump or a bridge that is gone! Hopefully it will be better given time.

Wow - that sounds pretty bad Marvin. Over in Scotland, we’ve just had a terrific week or so of spectacular weather. So much so that I took today off work, and went out for a ride (not on one of the Duc’s unfortunately, but was still amazing to get out on two wheels again).

It was 85F here the other day but it was only 39F this morning now 51 at 3;30.

Here’s what our roads are normally. this vid was from a few years ago in the Winter. It’s normally really green and lush here in the Summer. This road is a few miles from my house. It’s a little deceiving ,,,it climbs 2000ft. in about 10 miles. Several people get killed on it every year, mostly not from here, flatlanders who have never ridden anything but straight roads. They usually go over the edge or hit a car head on because they run wide.

Yes, it sounds good with the Termi’s and the spaghetti exhaust header. It sounds very much like a stock bike even with the S4RS Testestretta engine. It sounds even better up around 11K (I usually short shift it).
