Hi, this is hopefully my last post on 888 clutch :-) I just need to know when reinstalling the push rod if it should be greased or not. I can beleive that greasing the slave side would be wise for the O-rings, but what about the plate side ? Any risk of getting grease on the plates if grease is applied to the thicker part of the rod ?
Any help appreciated.

Hi John. I have been restoring and tracking 851/888 Corses since 1998 and I never gave your question much thought. I would put a smear of oil the length of the rod and on each end and slip it in. I never saw anything in the tech manual but then, I never looked. Not sure this helps but I saw no one gave it a go so I am chiming in.
