Hi All, it's been sometime since I worked on my 888 clutch, and I can't remember which way the clutch pressure rod is removed, I assume it's the clutch plate (right) side and not the slave side (left side) - is that correct ?
Thanks

Hi John,
I think on the clutch pressure plate side the rod is often seated in a bearing but can be unlocked with a little force.
Ont he slave side the rod is not fixed at all, so with removing the pressure plate you can extract the rod without any trouble.

Thanks Jacco, I have the push rod out now, it will probably come out either way, but I think it's best to remove it from the slave side just so the O-rings don't have to be pushed all the way through. It's deceptive as on the plate side there's a cap/spacer that goes between the rod and the bearing in the pressure plate, which just slips off, but on initial viewing one could wrongly assume it was part of the shaft.
Cheers,
John
