How the heck do you remove the (green) injectors from the throttle body without destroying them? I don't want to force them too much for fear of breaking them! Is there a proper tool, technique? I want to get them cleaned since I found some rust in my (spare) tank. Damn ethanol! Pump, filter was clogged. Want to make sure injectors are clean.

They’re in tight hey. The oring holding them in is a good firm-hard push fit with a new oring and not something to look forward to pulling out, let alone an aged hard oring. I soaked them with CRC and left them a day. It helped once they started moving. Gentle prying around and twisting getting them moving and care. I used a bit of Perspex with a chisel edge and a curve. Move up to metal pry tools only when despair sets in. It’s plastic with metal core so you’d have to be going some to snap one.

I just wrapped the injector head with a microfiber cloth, then used some pliers to twist and pull them out. They are tight though as mentioned.
