Anyway I got the stands from the paint shop today so I'll get boxes and start to check shipping prices tomorrow.
I'm a bit busy at work so it might take a few days.
Thank you for your patience (?)

Thomas
As previously mentioned we could meet up in the next 2 weeks as I am working in Gothenburg. If there is anybody else that has ordered one and lives close to the Belgium/Dutch border(Close to Eindhoven) then I could bring them and we can meet up. If there is anyone in Denmark that has ordered one ( Niels) then I fly out of Copenhagen so can bring from Gothenburg to there if it helps ?.

G'day mate,

I'm not an expert, but looking around 50 euro for a 7kg parcel is a fair price...

Hi Thomas,
Yes the shipping does sound expensive, but that's what it costs to post heavy/large things around the world and I'd given you my word as to wanting one.
Please contact me and let me know how to pay you.
It's my birthday today (58) and I'll just call it a birthday present to myself. 😎
I've been out for a blast on my 851/916cc bike this afternoon, I went over to the north coast of Cornwall and picked up three 1+1/2lb Lobsters for my supper treat with my old Mum (85) and my youngest son (23).
I also watched my 11 year old daughter star in the school production of "The Lion King" on my return.
The Chablis is on ice, the salad's dressed and the French stick's buttered with real butter.
A sunny fast ride over 80+ miles of almost empty, twisty, undulating roads through beautiful scenery and an evening with close family.
It doesn't get much better than this IMHO...
Steve R...Lucky all my Life!

Happy birthday, Steve !!!
Enjoy !!!

Yes, Happy Birthday Steve!!! (although it is now 1:30 AM there now!)

Happy Birthday Steve!
Sorry for beeing so slow in this subject.
Anyway. I had to vivsit the office today and I´m picking up boxes for packing on my way home.
tomorow I´ll check the exact shippning prices and get back to all of you.
No problem if any of you want to pass due to expensive shippning. There is a bunch of people in the swedish club who wants a stand.
Mr.R
Thanks for the Birthday wishes chaps. 😎
Now come on Thomas my Birthday present is now overdue. 😉
I've (now finally) got this "kit form" 955cc motor waiting to be the 1st on the new stand, if it doesn't make 136>140 rwbhp at under 9,500 rpm using retimed 9*6 SPS cams I'll be slightly disappointed.
...and I'll be really pissed off if it doesn't make at least 135 rwbhp.
The bike now weighs (measured at last weeks MOT*) just over 194lbs fully wet, complete with it's OEM steel tank, 5 spoke ST4 etc cast 5 spoke wheels and steel 17mm rear wheel spindle.
There's still the Li battery to fit, on my wish list is a Fuelcel Kevlar fuel tank and a lighter rear spindle for the rolling chassis.
The new 955cc motor will be a few lbs lighter than my current 916cc effort, with the help of...
Lighter (lightened 916SP) crank, Carrillo con rods, alternator rotor (lightened 600SS item and alloy spacer), pistons, heads, selector drum (genuine corse alloy item), crank primary gear, oil pump gears, internal Ti' fasteners/spacers, sprag clutch gears, battery crate, air box (genuine 3 piece Corse carbon unit), "X" shaped carbon air runners etc...
I reckon that I can get the bike down to close to 180lbs fully wet, complete with a full set of lights and without fitting fragile (?) magnesium wheels.
It won't be as fast as a 851 fitted with a "Stretta" motor of whatever size, but it will be true to how these bikes were back in the day.
Which for me adds to the feel/charm of the 851/888's, just like the old days/feel but a F'ckin sight faster.
*For those outside of the UK it's a yearly roadworthy test.
