Looking to remove & isolate my fuel tank & internals to help determine cause of poor running.
Can an auxiliary fuel tank (without pump, filter etc. be used to get the bike running?

Just get a couple of pieces of long hose and a rig up a long power lead and put the tank on a stand next to the bike. Have you changed your fuel filter lately? That's a good place to start.

No , any auxiliary tank will need a pump to run the bike .
