Hi guys,
Had this issue before where petrol was pouring once the bike was started and I thought it was resolved.
Back then I did check the hoses under the tank and they were simply not tight enough and therefore I proceeded to tighten them and it was all good.
Today, I start the bike and ready go for a ride, when right before moving I feel water drops through my jeans. I look down and a pool of fuel was pouring again. Had a look and when the pump starts, the fuel pours down. Obviously, with the engine on, it's even more.
I have to say the pump makes a lot of unusual noise but it does work. The previous owner changed it recently and I had a look inside the tank and pretty much both pump and filter look new.
Has anyone experienced the same symptoms before and may know what this is?
Thanks,
Joe.

if it's external it has to be a hose or fitting out of the tank. pull it apart and have a look.

Think you're going to need new hoses !
Mr.R
I got submersible hose from my local BMW bike dealer, they also had the correct fuel filter for my '92 851.

Thanks guys.
I decided to drain the tank and clean it, as it showed old fuel and a lot of dirt inside. Now is pretty clean.
i also took out the fuel pump and i have ordered a new filter, high pressure hoses and a submersible one too. They should be here by Thursday and i will work on it.
i hope the new hoses will sort the issue out, had enough petrol showers so far !!
