Got in well in excess of a 1000 small Aparts to move on, ( maybe 2000 ) some New, some used, some Strada some Corse, some refurbished, most 888 but all so some 916.

What is the most convenient way to offer them for sale. Obviously the forum is virtually dead I found recently. The prices on ebay seem astronomical.

In the process of listing in numerical order but it is taking for ever.

to be honest, I think people are starting to realise the value of the 851/888 and 916 models and sometimes the prices on ebay are optimistic!

if you can lay things out and take photos, I am willing to assist with posting the photos as well as help catalog them with you, which we can do over video sessions (I am based in the UK). PM me if you want some help and we can talk about getting the photos done and batching them up on the site at prices you are willing to accept.

Fleabay has been dead for quite some time. I think most people have moved on to Bookface Market Place.

Ebay is robbery

I think that Ebay is falling on its own sword because of the extortionate fees they charge. 10% of your sale is a big chunk and about 4% on top for the transaction (and that includes your shipping cost too).

Now they have also made it a close loop so you have to take the sales fees and the financial charges.
Sometimes they do some offers at £1 sales fee, but those disappear when you renew your listing. So, you end up done over.

The UK has not done itself a favour with Brexit as well. Everything that will be shipped to the continent will end up being taxed with their local VAT and the shipping company handling fee (about £10). Another open robbery given that secondhand parts would have had VAT paid on them already. So, continental buyers will look to price that in and it reduces your market.

The best platforms will remain the specialist forums and the face book specialist groups and best to find interest in the UK. I am glad I offloaded a lot of my parts (and bought a 888 on the continent) before all that non-sense came into play.

An alternative could be to list everything by part number post the parts numbers and see what 'Real interest is out there. If viable would ship parts to Scunthorpe ( I know they still haven't found the man yet ) But it it is 6/8 weeks surface shipping or eBayesque individual shipping costs. No personal rush worst case is I scrap the lot. Obviously I'm not a charity.
ALSO I have a spare 926 Motor for sale 31/37 heads race crank Pankyl rods CR box. Checked stripped and rebuilt by Justin at Protwins and unused since. May strip if enough interest.
