Trying to locate a set of aluminium brackets for SM exhaust for 1992 888 SP4.

Sweet Jesus this forum is full of great stuff but hopeless to use...

Still unable to upload images - even paid $25 again to see if that would work - it doesn't.

Keeps telling me on the upload page I am either not logged in or it is my first visit. Repeatedly log in but all to no avail.

I have a pair laying around somewhere off these from my termignoni's.
I changed them with carbon ones.
Gonna see if i can find them.

Hi Henk, Thank you for the note; if you find them I will be interested as I am trying to get these flippin' cans to fit. So far I have one butchered bracket and someone has kindly located an SM set but options to try would help. Cheers, Kev.

Hi All,

So in addition to the brackets also after a bit of advice; hopefully not a daft question! Can anyone recommend a heat resistant, thread locking compound for the bolts that attach the bracket to the exhaust silencer?

The SM bolts were fixed with some black 'gunk' which allowed the bolts to be removed without excessive force. Would blue Loctite be sufficient or is there something else that should be used to handle the heat?

Mine are on with Blue Loctite and haven't come loose!
