Front bearing spacer 851 sp2

I took the bearings out a while ago to get the front wheel powder coated. Stupidly I forgot to note which way the notched end of the bearing spacer was fitted, ie towards the the speedo drive or not. I'm assuming that the notch fits towards the speedo drive but would like confirmation of the direction before refitting the new bearings.

I'm not sure it makes any dfference as the slot is just to enable you to get a drft to the bearing to tap it out.

I agree with this.
Also the bearing spacers on the 851/888's are made of steel, take this opportunity to make an alloy one and loose some weight from where it really makes a difference.
