SPO wroteHi Steve,
G cams are easily to get.
Does they destroy the drivability extremely?
Who can machine the end of SPS cam?
Do you know someone?
Regards
No they destroy the crankcases in pretty short time. It's not for nothing that the genuine 888 Corse machines needed their C/cases changed at regular intervals.
12,000+ rpm kills 851/888 crankcases and that's a fact!
Any competent engineer can convert a non cable drive cam to cable drive. If you can supply them with your cable driven cam and a suitable non cable driven cam.
But why would you when all you really need to do is convert to an Electronic/more accurate instrument?
If you must go for higher revs (and loss of any reliability) then go for 431 inlets and G exhausts.
That set up is probably the best for racing, but for the road my recommendation is still T1 or V-Two 604's.
