Hi Folk,
Looking to replace Belts on ST4s, who do you recommend to buy from and what would you expect to pay. Been quoted £125 from a dealer
Reason I ask is when either my 851 or 888 is serviced the belts charged are much cheaper on invoice, when serviced by independent tech.
Cheers

Quite a few people have been using the Chinese "Exact Fit" belts. They are a lot less expensive. Places like Calif. Cycleworks, etc. have been selling them. I have read all of the "tests" of them and they look good. BUT, the first container of them may have been great but the chinese have never been above board on anything !!!! I would like to see tests of the latest Chinese belts. I still use OEM belts even though they are a total rip off !!

Try M&P for OEM belts.
Back in the summer I got a cracking deal on 888 belts off their eBay site. At the time I thought it was to good to be true. Everything thing was ok when delivered so I tried to order another x2 sets but they'd gone up considerably, still cheaper than main dealer though

Thanks,
Tried M&P today but no belts showing up on line. As for phone line no answer, left message no return.
Will try tomorrow

If you're going to get your parts online (and I do it often too), maybe it's not so cool to ask the dealer for their free expertise.

the 3 gates belts that were available outside of ducati - pantah, 900 and 851 - were discontinued in au a few years ago. not sure if you can still get them in the usa or europe though. the 851 belt was a renault belt before being used on the then new 851 4v.
no other ducati fitments have ever been available outside of ducati.

Free Expertise ! No idea. Asking for availability
