1989 Lucchinelli Replaced Thermostat Needed

Hi All, I am looking for a complete thermostat assembly for my 1989 Lucchinelli Replica. I know it's a very rare part to find but asking anyway. If anyone has one laying around or a good lead it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Brad ,thank you kindly for your reply and posting. I should have been more specific. I am looking for the entire housing assembly where all the hoses connect including the thermostat inside.

that's the other one. if it fits a 996 and st it's definitely wrong. the right angle outlet points the opposite way.

Pt no for early is 55340021A. Later is 55340031A

I seem to remember opening up a later one and rotating the outlet 180 degrees after a long search for the correct one. It took a couple of goes to get the crimp tight enough to stop it leaking. Holding it together gently in a vice while crimping worked.

the problem is the relationship between the two outlets in the moulded body. the cap is a straight outlet. i was surprised the retaining ring was as easy to deal with as it was when i did mine.

Yes I know they have not been available for a long time but starting this thread was worth a shot. Just was hoping someone had an spare or extra laying around on a shelf somewhere. Thanks all for the replies.

Right enough Brad. I must have kept the body and transferred the cap and thermostat. The joys of getting older.🙂
