Coolant Flush

Greetings!

I've searched, and can't find anything about doing a coolant flush on my 851. The bike is in my office, so need to be careful about spilling coolant. Can I do it with a Mity Vac fluid extractor, or is there a single bolt that comes out to drain the system?

The bike is pickled, so I can't run the engine, which is another curve.

Ducati didn't use the infamous "lifetime" coolant, did they? Certainly someone has done a coolant change.😝

Single drain bolt on the water pump cover, and a bucket underneath usually does the job.

Thanks...I've read about issues with air pockets in the rear cylinder, but I guess that can be addressed when I bring back the bike to running condition.

Is AGIP the best to use?

There is a bleed screw on the rear cylinder water manifold.

Awesome! Just looked and see it on the fitting. I'm highly considering the reverse fill method using a pump sprayer through the lower drain bolt to lift air out of the system naturally.
