RWG Hi Folks, Having colated many parts over the years I have completed a Dry assembly and have what equates to afine looking bitza. My frame is series 3, the motor is 851 but my sub frame is early 851 bibesto type with brackets for passenger hanndles. I tought my spare plastic under tray would fit. But it does not, this spare tray is the same as fitted to my Sp4. The frame is for the ealier Tank that is bolts down front and back, just single bolts at seat. Can any one show an image of what my sub frame should look like and if it can be alterd to suite. Or does any one have a sub frame I could buy, exchange to help move this project. Any advise would be appriciated. Regards Paul RWG PS: having been asked what RWG stands for a couple of times, It stand for Red White Green.
Bridgland Paul, Not sure if it will work, but I have a spare 888 Strada subframe, that would certainly take the rear tray you have, but would need to have the tank mountings changed from the hinge tubes, to a bolt down for the tank. Don't know if this will work for you, but happy to offer it up. Chris
Mr.R Paul, The brackets for the grab handles marks your subframe as a '92 model so not a early version, but in fact the last version of the 851. The earlier bi posto subframes didn't have grab handles IIRC? Steve R
RWG Good info fellas, Chris could you send photo of subframe, mine has the single bolt mounting but plastic tray does not fit. So just want to see what would be involved in adapting your sub frame Many Thanks Paul
