Recommendation wanted - Best Single Seat Maker

After finally securing an original SPO rear frame (so I don't have to cut my strada one up), I am after a single rear seat unit, as the 2nd hand one I picked up just has the wrong shape.

I want to fit it with the bum pad hole and, as many of you know, I 3D print the seat bases, as well as the hole shape to be bonded into a seat unit.

I am after recommendations for the best shaped rear seat unit, that is as close to the original shape as possible, as I cannot find an original one for a fair price. I have found a Japanese one that is almost like the original (best one I have found) from Carbony, but due to the expense and being not too sure how well it will fit, I wanted to get the enthusiast's view on what I should consider?

Thanks DD. Saw that previously, but something not quite right about the shape and very similar to the one I have, which has too much of a cut back where the light is. Mine is a little bit damaged so would need strengthening, so I could spend time with cutting and carbon fibre patching of my existing seat unit. Hoping someone would have some good experience with a single seat unit that they would share.

Many of the ones I have seen come back too far at the top of the rear light in how they have been made. The image attached is the look I am after.

Hi Chris, just been into garage and looked at my SP4 and rear lens protrudes about 5mm past seat unit and the lens on my 851/996 protrudes about 15mm past the seat unit which is a QB Carbon unit. Can't say I've seen one where the seat protrudes past the l/unit.

I seem to remember that the tail light is mounted on spacers, would it be possible to cut the spacers down to bring the light closer to the seat unit?

DD, how are your main seatpads fit to the bikes? To the seat unit or frame, if frame ,how? Cheers.

The SP4 has the seat pad fixed to the unit by the 3 bolts and the bum pad by the dzus fastener to the standard opening. The 851/996 has the seat pad fixed with the 3 bolts and for the bum pad I made an ally fixing which I riveted to the unit so I can fix a standard bum pad on with the dzus pin..

The QB moulds were said to have been taken from Foggies NW200 winner, but I'd lay good money that the seat unit was taken from a SP4.
I've got 2 of the QB ones here, one on my bike and the others a spare. That's one of them in my avatar pic'.

I'm taking an educated guess here, but I think the one in Bridgland's pic' is a cut down genuine Corse item.

Close 😁 NFS- Nordic Fertility society. Note that it’s pink out of the box. It has red laid, then white over the top. This apparently was to give the red top coat a depth.
