Refinishing Silencers?

Has anyone refinished (or had refinished) their silencers? Can they be polished? What's involved?

It looks to me like the factory finish is anodized aluminum with a silver, matte finish. Is re-anodizing an option?

I have a set of original low level pipes, so I can go back to Biposto if needed. I am going to take them to be Cerakoted at some point, which I feel is a great alternative to Anodising. Already cerakoted the engine and very impressed by the finish.

Thanks Chris...Would you have to disassemble the mufflers to Cerakote them? Sounds like a viable alternative to keep the "stock" look with a more durable finish.

I would disassemble them, as you can then guarantee a great finish as well as repack the silencers at the same time.....or leave them full bore!
