My new ....old 851

Hi....This is my second 851 with twenty odd years between them, still as good as I remember not as brutal as some bikes I have owned but the recipe of this bike just works, so happy with it but at the moment I feel uncomfortable going out, great site, lots of questions answered by you all after a thorough search.....does anyone have a trusted method to replace headlamp with cree type lamps and a race nose fairing, getting a race fairing is no problem, anyhow thank you for being here, stay safe, Best mike

New pic

I fitted a new front mudguard from a paso because I don't like the "beaky" shape of the original, now wrapped and stored. I also found a new locking fuel cap as the original hasn't got a key lock. It's a sparko item and great quality, type sparko fuel cap into Google and there you go. I made a template for the white number boards, the mechanical side of things are pretty good (for the mo) went through the bike front to back and found one bolt missing from back brake caliper, fitted a new bolt to none existing threads! ..but a helicoil kit sorted that. On the road it's spot on and makes great noise under load. It turns in beautifully and powers out of a bend like no other...... Gee Wizz were lucky....mike

These are the few changes I have made, number board, fuel cap, paso mud guard-fender, and the Allen bolt in the centre of picture is hellicoiled to brake plate carrier, and of course,,,,,,,white Domino grips,,,bit tarty but my mates will slap me for this, Best mike

Very nice. Love the lockable fuel cap. Although I think fuel is no longer worth stealing with this crisis.
