Steben I've been doing some digging and when I find threads , names on this forum keep popping up ,so where better to start! I'm in the process of registering my 888 as i bought it in Holland. My frame number doesn't tally with normal info , i.e. Falloons book. Mine starts zdm888s1, the number is made up of dots and hasn't been tampered with. Engine number zdm888w4b which looks same as other 888s. Any info appreciated. Cheers. Dealer is forwarding paperwork he showed me from ducati saying it came off production line around August 93 and was first registered around May 94.
Bridgland Frame number looks fine. I sent my photos of my Frame number and engine number to the Ducati Factory and the confirmed it was a 1993 888 Strada and the engine was original. This is the photo of mine before I restored her.
