Hi,
Before I Think of selling of my 851/888 parts collected over many years.
I decided to put together to see what I have, end result is a full rolling chassis and 851 Engine
I most of all that is required, including Full quality repainted fairing including Original Ducati lightweight side panels.only missing wiring loom.
Know thinking of building the bike,
But got me thinking should I go down the road 996st conversion? I read so much about on here.
Question, does it need to be ST4S or is the ST3 offer same Potential.
Thoughts would be appriciated.
Regards
Paul

if you spend time over 8k, go the 4s. or do the 3 heads. the inlet valves are too small, and the headers are smaller too - same size as 851. you'll need to sort an exhaust if you go 3.
i think it'll go straight in either way. 3 is a nice motor.

Thank you,
Looks like I need to source an ST4S

No harm done buying a good St4S engine.. they are plenty available

If you can't find a 4S, a 4 is still fun and usually cheap

Just taken delivery of 19k Mile St4s yellow!
Well after a brief ride mightly impressed now thinking did I see some time back a ST4 with 851/888 body kit.
This might be a better route for a novice like me
Any Direction would help
