Hi everyone,
I'm trying to clean up my engine block and am wondering the best way to remedy the problem. I have some areas where the paint is just yellow but mostly intact, but others are oxidized and the paint is peeling up.
Should I use paint stripper or something alone those lines? Is there one that won't hurt the bare aluminum?
What about the oxidized portions? I have the engine together so I don't have the option of blasting and repainting.

I know people have used soda blasting on complete engines with success, that may be a good road to take as it looks fantastic afterwards.
I don't personally like paint stripper on complete stuff as it can hurt rubber components.
