Hi there
I'm in the final stages of completing my 851 race bike and whilst stripping the carbon tank to check for leaks I've discovered the fuel pumps filter cover that slips over the base of the pump is stuffed
Is the correct part no for the replacement part D42710031A?
I was going to line the tank with a caswells tank sealant, does anyone have experience with this product?

I think caswell is the best. I have used it with great sucxess

I agree with Marvin- Caswell works great in the carbon tanks.
If you have the large early street or Corse pump, then you can buy a new screen for about $25 from any BMW site which sells early K bike parts.
Not sure where you can buy the small screen for the smaller street pumps- many guys just replace them with the common Ford pump which has the push-on bag style filter.
