Hi guys I have posted a link to a YouTube video (link below) showing how I replaced the fuel pump and filter assembly on my 1993 Ducati 888 and the horrors that awaited me in the tank itself and how it was restored.

Thanks for posting this as I have one to do as the bike has no power but starts fine. I suspect the problem is inside the tank.

As others have said, thanks for posting that interesting video. My SP3 had what sounds like a similar issue to that described by @dudlington (starts fine, idles OK but no power when ridden). I hjad a local independant look into it - he stripped out the pump/filter etc, cleaned/replaced as necesssary (new filter and tubing I think, pump was OK and it wasn't rusty). Haven't had a chance to ride it yet though! Having watched your video I'm rather glad I didn't try and do it myself...
