888 with ST4 engine and loom. What power commander?

Just fitting a spaghetti header system, which with no airbox will make me run too lean, which I will need to fix.

I'm intending on going down the power commander route to get it spot on. My question is which power commander do I need? As far as I understand it, the plugs should be the same for the 4vs of that era, and it's only the cable length that differs?

The only people I could find who could supply one for a ST4 didn't want to. But if it's just the wire length that's different, surely I'd need a 888 specific one?

Can anyone enlighten me?

Why go to a Power Commander, there should be plenty of people who can do this also without the Power Commander............

Is it the newer 59M ECU as on the ST4S or the older 1.6?

There aren't many options for the older chipped ones these days but the 59M can be flashed, or you can go with a Microtec (probably the M197). Power Commanders are band aids. And you can't change the ignition timing.

I can't say I know what you mean. The injector plug connector?

The new headers have fittings for them, so that might be an option.

Apparently Power Commanders are no longer made for ST4s, S4s, or 916s. So it's either chip, or fit one of them, or wire up a whole standalone ECU.
