Ducati 851 Sp2 steering plates

Good evening to all!

I recently disassembled this complete steering plates kit from my Suzuki rgv 250.
Obviously i decided to fix an originali rgv 250 steering plates.

I found the "elephant" mark back on one of them.

I tryed to do a quick research on web and i think i have found what this plates come from.

But i prefer to show you and wait if somebody could help me.
What do you think?

It does appear to have similarities to a certain bike produced by a Cagiva owned company:

uhm, but at this time Ducati was Cagiva's properties, si i know lot of ducati spare parts have elephant marks.

The part number was meant to be the giveaway. This was fitted to several Ducatis including 900ss, 851 and 888.
