What's the easiest way to completely drain the fuel tank, aside from running it dry? I'm going to be storing my 851 in my office, and don't want a full tank of fuel sitting 3 feet from me, not to mention the possible off-gassing that might occur. Since the tank is aluminum, I don't believe I have to be concerned with corrosion in a climate controlled environment, do I?
Thanks!

tank off bike, fuel line off tank, hold it (or bribe someone else to hold it) until it's drained in a bucket, and get inside with a rag to dry off the last remnants
You could also pull the fuel line off and turn the key so the pump runs and empties it, but I'm not a fan as it can damage the pump

Thanks! I was afraid removal of the tank might be necessary. Of course, something for me to drop and lose sleep over for 20 years.😝

You can get a cheap hand siphon pump. It has a hand bulb that you squeeze to get the flow started and then just transfer the fuel to a container on the floor. Most boat shops or harbor freight has them.
I made a electric transfer pump from a cheap fuel pump, a couple of pieces of hose and a couple wires with alligator clips to pump out fuel from a bikes tank before working on it. You just have to be careful about insulating electrical connections as sparks are very bad. I have see some cheap battery powered transfer pumps that had a plastic pipe for a pickup and a hose output. I used one at a race shop that I worked at to pump fuel out of race fuel drums.
